Michigan, Niagara Falls, & NYC summer trip

2 countries; 9 different states; 14 state/province changes; 2450 miles; Car/Boats/Trains

Day 1:

Drove 650 miles to Flint Michigan

Day 2 and 3:

Another 300 miles and a ferry ride on Sheplers. Great days on the island at the Grand Hotel (room 129). 

Day 4:

Drove 450 miles through Canada to Niagara Falls. Fantastic view of both falls from the Hilton hotel (32nd floor, room 3203)

Day 5:

Saw the Falls from the Anerican side in the rain. Then drove 400 miles to NYC via Lincoln tunnel. 

Day 6:

Went to Hunger Games exhibit at Discovery Times Square at 9am. Then walked through Times Square at hopped on the subway and went to One World Trade building and the memorial pools. Then took subway back up to Central Park and went in FAO Schwartz. Walked down 5th Ave by Trump Tower to the NYC Library. Finished off the day with a harbor evening cruise (pier 83) along Hudson by Statue of Liberty and up the East river. 

Day 7:

Drive home.....650 miles. 

2009 Beach Trip

We just got home from a week at the beach and now it's back to the real world. Here are a few pictures from the week.

Bean and Bear!!

We went fishing and it rained on us but Alex managed to catch the only two fish that were caught that day - using her infamous pink princess fishing rod.

We visited the aquarium - here is Alex the crab....

We saw real Pirates and they performed a show for us. Here are a couple of the nice pirates.

Alex had craft time at the aquarium where she made a picture frame out of sea shells.

Here is Alex and her catfish friend. She looks forward to this meeting every year.

Claire had a great time on the playground in Morehead City.

Here are a few of the wild horses we saw on the boat ride around Beaufort.

While at Fort Macon we saw the cannon demo.......it was loud!!

Beach trip 2008 to Atlantic Beach, NC with T.S. Hannah

We had a great time at the beach last week with perfect weather until Friday when Hannah arrived. Enjoy the pics.
