Alex's First School Picture

It's hard to believe but Alex is growing up and had her first school picture last week!!

The weather was perfect and we had a great day at Tweetsie Railroad. We rode the train, lots of rides, had a funnel cake and popcorn, and saw lots of animals. I wish I had video of Alex driving one of the cars with Tara riding in the passenger seat......hitting everything that got in the way!!

Fancy Gap, VA

We had a great time on our trip to Fancy Gap celebrating Tara's birthday. We visited Hillsville, VA and saw the 'Bottle House' which was one of a kind. Then we stopped at the Alpaca farm on the parkway and the girls loved it. Just happened to be there a couple days after the baby was born.

Labor Day Weekend 09

Saturday morning we got up early and took our breakfast out to the white water center. Unfortunately we we too early as the pumps weren't on yet but we walked around and the girls loved it anyway.
On the way home we stopped by the airport to see the planes (kids love this free entertainment...). Here is a view of downtown.

And this is the smallest plane I've seen take off. It was about the size of a car and may have held 2 people.

Monday we made it out to the park for lunch, play time and a bike ride.

First Days of Kindergarten

Day 3 of Kindergarten Alex bought her lunch for the first time and enjoyed a corn dog, tater tots & mashed potatoes with milk. Yummy.

2009 Beach Trip

We just got home from a week at the beach and now it's back to the real world. Here are a few pictures from the week.

Bean and Bear!!

We went fishing and it rained on us but Alex managed to catch the only two fish that were caught that day - using her infamous pink princess fishing rod.

We visited the aquarium - here is Alex the crab....

We saw real Pirates and they performed a show for us. Here are a couple of the nice pirates.

Alex had craft time at the aquarium where she made a picture frame out of sea shells.

Here is Alex and her catfish friend. She looks forward to this meeting every year.

Claire had a great time on the playground in Morehead City.

While at Fort Macon we saw the cannon demo.......it was loud!!

Claire's Two Years Old

Claire celebrated her second birthday party with family and friends with a party in the gymn. Everyone had a great time and the bounce house was a hit. Happy birthday bear!

Just Fishing

Dad and I took Alex fishing Saturday and we had a great time. Stocked with drinks, fruit snacks and cake we went down to the pond. As usual Alex and the custom princess fishing rod caught the first fish of the day - she's a natural......The last pic is the catfish she caught but she wasn't too fond of it.

Claire's Water Day

Claire had lots of fun at her first water day at school. She was a wet monkey!! Enjoy.
