2009 Beach Trip

We just got home from a week at the beach and now it's back to the real world. Here are a few pictures from the week.

Bean and Bear!!

We went fishing and it rained on us but Alex managed to catch the only two fish that were caught that day - using her infamous pink princess fishing rod.

We visited the aquarium - here is Alex the crab....

We saw real Pirates and they performed a show for us. Here are a couple of the nice pirates.

Alex had craft time at the aquarium where she made a picture frame out of sea shells.

Here is Alex and her catfish friend. She looks forward to this meeting every year.

Claire had a great time on the playground in Morehead City.

While at Fort Macon we saw the cannon demo.......it was loud!!

Claire's Two Years Old

Claire celebrated her second birthday party with family and friends with a party in the gymn. Everyone had a great time and the bounce house was a hit. Happy birthday bear!

Just Fishing

Dad and I took Alex fishing Saturday and we had a great time. Stocked with drinks, fruit snacks and cake we went down to the pond. As usual Alex and the custom princess fishing rod caught the first fish of the day - she's a natural......The last pic is the catfish she caught but she wasn't too fond of it.

Claire's Water Day

Claire had lots of fun at her first water day at school. She was a wet monkey!! Enjoy.

Gymnastics Presentation

Alex finished up her gymnastics class at the Y with a presentation where they performed various exercises they had learned in the previous months. She loved the 'cheese pit' and was very proud of her blue ribbon (she took it to school the next day)

Alex turned 5 on Saturday and she celebrated princess style at Oogles N Googles

Myrtle Beach - Slide

Here is Alex going down the slides at the hotel. Unfortunately I didn't get any footage of her going down the big slides.

Myrtle Beach - Mini Golf

Alex's first trip to mini golf, her first hole, her very first stroke (with a pink ball) -- Resulted in a hole in one!! It was amazing. And she beat us........

Myrtle Beach - Alligator Adventure

We enjoyed our trip to Alligator Adventure today. There were thousands of alligators & crocs as well as a tiger, turtles, zebra, donkey, birds, snakes, lizards, fish, frogs and otters. We got to see them feed Utan, the biggest croc of all!!

And here is the Utan feeding - he is 44 yrs old, 2000 lbs and about 20 ft long. He may live 90+ years. He is allegedly the largest croc in the world in captivity and he eats 2 rabbits per week.
